The Wong Way?

A federal lawsuit against the City & County of Honolulu over development rights increasingly seems to focus on the role an architect now in federal prison might have played in securing – and allegedly sabotaging – development approvals from the city’s Department of Planning and Permitting.

Recently, the court agreed to allow the parties to depose the architect, William Wong, and a former staffer with the DPP about their involvement with the development plans at an agricultural condominium property regime on O‘ahu’s North Shore.

The lawsuit is just one of several venues where disputes over actions taken by the developer and, later, owners of CPR units are in play. Teresa Dawson’s reporting covers the highlights.
