Two Offshore Wind Projects Are Proposed

AW Hawai`i Wind LLC has submitted applications for two offshore wind generating facilities, which will be the subject of a meeting Wednesday, June 3, in Honolulu. For more information on the meeting, including how to register, see

The proposals anticipate installing a grid of 51 floating turbines, capable of generating 400 megawatts of electricity, 12 miles northwest of Ka`ena Point and another, similarly scaled, about 12 miles due south of Diamond Head.
